Havachon - Bichon Havanese

Warning !  Most owners end up with at least two !!

Sometimes larger and sometimes smaller. Average size 10 lbs and even up to 16 to 18 pounds.

The Havachon is a super loving, gentle toy breed that is perfect for the first time dog!   Bred only to be a house and lap dog, it is a very playful friend.  As puppies, the Havachon has the cuddlesome attitude

of the Havanese (and, some of its stubborn streak) and the hyper clown attitude of the Bichon.  Some of that will mellow out as he grows older, becoming the perfect house pet for many years. All are non-shedding and Hypo-Allergenic & Love every child they know. The breed is also very keen in alerting it's family that someone or something is near. Yet he will be the first to  greet your guests with a waggin' tail!

The F1 Havachon (Hero)is a  50x50 mix created by crossing 100% purebred Bichon-Frise with 100% purebred Havanese It is considered a hybrid dog, meaning it is not purebred; however, the lineage is known. Where as the term mutt is used when a dog has an unknown lineage.  The Havachon is created by crossing the purebred Havanese with the purebred Bichon-Frise.  Some claim hybrid dogs are healthier because you are mixing up the gene pool. Many breeders of hybrids believe in what is called the heterosis effect and hybrid vigor. Vigor means, "Physical or mental strength, force or energy."

Hero,  our Havachon  puppy,  is the newest member of the household.  Upon visiting a breeder with our friends and hosts while visiting Florida, both my wife and I immediately fell i n love with his almost smiling face.  We took him onto a flight home and began the so-far arduous task of integrating him into our four-cat household.

Soon, we noticed Mister Fluffer with Hero, playing with him and letting all know that his passing would be replaced by this newcomer, making it easier for us to take.
