This page is a recent addition, taking the opportunity to display the results of what started as a creative hobby.  It's important that each of us has hobbies once we approach retirement age.

First and foremost, my pipes have been created primarily for my own use and to sooth my creative juices and ego.

Other than making money and building gallery websites, I have to keep my hands moving. Always doing something. Ergo, these web pages, these pipes and, my hand-made knives.

On these pages are some of the pipes that I have carved myself and some that I have acquired through purchase and auction. 

My first pipe was created soon after seeing the result of one man's work, a hand cupping the bowl of a pipe. 

I started by buying inexpensive pipes with a thick bowl and carving them down to my desired

Note in the diagram opposite, I decided to create a drainage methodology that would permit the tart and dangerous tobacco tars to drip down through the tobacco and accumulate in the well. 

This has made all of my pipes taste sweeter and not to let the tobacco tars pass through the shank and the stem into my mouth.  Try it.  It works. Just be sure to let me in on the royalties!
